Skatewarehouse.co.uk offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.


By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.


ONLINE STORE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorised purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.

A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.

Making A Purchase:

We take the security of your personal data very seriously, you can be assured our site is safe and secure, payment is handled via a 3rd party Gateway, we are 100% PCI DSS compliant and do not see or store any of your private payment information.

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our online shop, and click on any items that you wish to buy and add them to the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone or the Internet. AmericanExpress is not currently accepted.

By completing and proceeding through the checkout process you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. Completing the checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your order.  

If in the unlikely event of pricing errors occurring on our website, we will contact you shortly after your purchase with the option of completing or refunding the transaction.

Pre-Orders:

Products offered for sale as "Pre-order" will be fulfilled as soon as the inventory becomes available. We give you an estimated date for the products to arrive with us, this date is not guaranteed as we cannot control exactly when the inventory will arrive. If the inventory arrives later than expected we will contact you to let you know. You can of course request a refund at any time before we ship the item.

 

Incomplete or Wrong Address:

It is solely your responsibility to make sure the details you provide us with are correct. If you do provide an incomplete or wrong address on your order please contact us immediately and we will do our best to correct the address before the item is sent. Skatewarehouse Limited are not liable and will take no responsibility for a wrong or incomplete address provided by the customer, responsibility to trace and recover items sent to a wrong or incomplete address is the sole responsibility of the customer. Skatewarehouse Limited will not refund or replace items lost or undelivered due to an incomplete or wrong address. If and when the item has been successfully returned to Skatewarehouse Limited we will then follow our normal refund procedure.

 

Delivery:

Important Information For All UK Deliveries:
  • Our 'Working Days' are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays & public Holidays.
  • If you place an order after 2:00pm Mon-Fri, your order will be shipped the following working day.
  • We will send you an automated delivery email when we have despatched your order.
  • Tracking numbers may not become active until the evening when the courier processes your parcel.
  • If nobody is available to receive your order delivery: orders sent with Royal Mail may be left at a post office or delivery office and for orders sent with DPD, a delivery will be attempted once and then maybe left at a parcel shop for you to collect.
  • Uncollected orders from parcel shops or sorting offices will be returned to us and you may be liable for these costs.
  • For orders requiring a resend due to a missed delivery, any costs will be chargeable to the customer.
  • Free shipping is a discount. As such, if items are returned that take your order value under the 'Free delivery on orders over' amount the shipping discounts will be claimed back.

We make every effort to dispatch your order as quickly as possible, once your order has left us with the Courier Service or Royal Mail we have very limited control over its delivery. Please note that during times of severe weather conditions your delivery can take longer than expected, this is beyond our control and we will do our best to advise you when to expect the delivery. We cannot refund delivery costs on delayed orders due to extreme/severe weather conditions.

DPD - Regarding all deliveries sent with the DPD service: Only 1 Delivery will be attempted, if there is nobody available to receive the delivery, nowhere safe to leave the parcel or you have not nominated a 'safe place', then your delivery will be taken to the nearest 'DPD Pickup Shop', typically this is a local convenience shop, locations can be found here...

DPD will notify you via the email address on your order, that your order has been taken to a Pickup Shop and where to find it. Once it arrives at the Pickup Shop you have up to 7 days to collect your parcel.

Please note, If you do not collect your parcel in time, DPD will return the parcel to us at our expense and we will contact you to arrange another delivery at further cost to you.

Bank Holidays and Public Holidays:
On national public holidays observed in England UK, the warehouse and shop will be closed, therefore we will not dispatch orders until the next working day. Please take this into account when ordering something you need urgently, for example ordering on 'Good Friday' with Saturday Delivery, in this case, we would not dispatch the order until the next working day, Tuesday.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Our items are for sale only to the end-user, we do not give permission to resell our products on through other sales avenues.

 

Scooter Purchases:

Scooters are covered by a limited 3-month warranty, this does not cover wear and tear on wheels/bearings/brakes/grips. These items do wear out regularly please phone us for any advice on new products for your scooter. 

 

Back Orders:

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero.

Credit Card Security All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128-bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any website. At skatwarehouse.co.uk we take security very seriously, with this in mind, we may contact you prior to dispatch to ask additional security questions.

Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. If you are unhappy with any product for any reason and it is still in its original condition, we will replace, swap or issue a refund.

We offer a fourteen-day "cool off" period, allowing you to return any product, for any reason (in its original condition) for a full refund.

Pricing:

Skatewarehouse reserves the right to change all pricing at any time without prior notification.

 

Price Match:

We will match or beat any price that can be proven to us found on a UK SKATE SHOP WEBSITE. That competitor website must have current stock of the item in question. Unfortunately, we can not price match non-skate shop companies i.e eBay.

The Price Match offered by skatewarehouse.co.uk is entirely discretionary and subject to agreement between Skatewarehouse Ltd staff and the customer before the Price Match is approved. Please note that all of the following must apply otherwise it will not be validated:

  • Not from eBay listings.
  • Not found in-store / shops.
  • Not from private sales listed on the Internet.
  • Not from an Amazon Listings or marketplace stores.
  • Not from a Websites based outside of the UK.
  • Not from a Clearance or sale price.
  • Not valid on completed purchases.
  • Must be a genuine product and not a copy/counterfeit.
  • Products must be of the same type and brand name (products of the same type but different brand name are classed as different products.)
  • Items must be in stock on a competitors website.
  • Reasonable proof of lower price must be provided by the customer.

If we are unable to price match for any reason we may offer a better deal.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

Returns:

Our policy lasts 100 days. If 100 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original undamaged packaging. Please note, custom built products are not eligible for a refund unless we deem there to be a manufacturer defect, this includes products where you have selected the option to "Build my Board" or "Apply Grip Tape".

To complete your return, we will require a copy of the invoice you had with the order or a printed email confirmation of the order.

Please make sure all items are packed appropriately for shipping back to us. Please don’t stick a label directly on to the packaging of the product as we will not be able to refund the order.

All costs relating to returns are the responsibility of the customer (unless the item is faulty/damaged – See Below). We strongly recommend using a signed for service with the Royal Mail, as until the item is with us, it is still your responsibility.


Exchanging an Item:

We all make mistakes, especially when it comes to ordering online! But we are here to help! Should you find yourself in the situation where you have the wrong size product, wrong colour or any other issue, please send the item back to us and we will send out the correct product free of charge for the first exchange!


Cancelling an order/Distance Selling Regulations:

Within the Distance Selling Regulations (DSRs) you have the right to cancel any order up to 7 working days after the day you receive the order, this is the ‘cooling off period’. We will refund the total cost of the returned item(s) and the original shipping cost if applicable. If you are only returning part of the order we will refund the shipping according to that one product.

Certain items are not included under the DSR rules these are:

DVD’s/Audio or other sealed media which have been opened

If the item has been customised, such as the deck having been gripped (either by us or the customer), stickers put on any product, a custom build kit with "Build my Board" option selected etc...

Items you wish to send back must be packed appropriately so they do not get damaged and insured to the correct amount. These costs are the customers' responsibility. If you wish to send back an item please contact us first using one of the methods below.

This is not intended to be a full statement of all your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. Full details of your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations are available from your local Citizens' Advice Bureau or your Local Authority's Trading Standards Office.

 

Faulty/Damaged/Missing Items:

If you believe your product is faulty or defective due to a manufacturing fault, you will need to contact us first (details below) before we can process the item. We will assess the defect claim and decide if it is eligible. There are some common claims that are not classed as 'defects' such as: snapped decks, blown bushings from over-tightening trucks and rusty bearings from water damage. In some situations, we may need to get the item back to assess and make a decision, the customer will be responsible for the costs of the return up until we agree that the item is faulty and then we will refund this charge.  

We also have a two-week cut-off, so once your order has been sent from here you have two weeks to contact us with missing/damaged items, after this time we will assume the order has arrived in perfect condition and we will not be liable for any problems after this point.


Snapped Skateboard Decks:

Due to the nature of the sport, skate decks will snap, this can be the day after you have purchased the deck, 6 months down the line or more. Unless otherwise stated these decks will not be refunded or replaced. Snaps generally occur when the feet are in the wrong place when you land on the deck and not related to the quality of the deck. Improper use or mistreatment will void your warranty. 

 

Water Damage & Faulty Bearings:

All bearings found in skateboards, scooters, rollerskates, and more are not waterproof. They are metal and susceptible to corrosion on contact with moisture. If you ride through puddles or standing water then you will damage your bearings. We strongly recommend you avoid any bearing contact with water and regularly maintain your bearings with purpose-made bearing lubricant. If you ride through water you will void your warranty. Scooters, rollerskates and skateboards are not water proof, they can be permanently damaged by water, do not ride in the rain or through standing water under any circumstances. Doing so will void your warranty.

 

Fitting Parts to your skateboard/skates/scooter

Only attempt to fit parts you have purchased if you are fully competent and know what you are doing. You can cause serious damage to your items or yourself if you improperly fit parts or use inappropriate tools, this is at your own risk and responsibility. We are on hand to help advise the best way to fit parts, please email or call us before attempting to fit anything you are unsure about. If you damage any parts while fitting them this is at your own risk and responsibility, no refunds will be given if you make a mistake and void your warranty.


Returns from outside the UK:

Skatewarehouse LTD will only issue a refund for orders that are returned to us from outside mainland UK. If you would like to swap the item then we will charge the full shipping cost as per our rates table.
